Cephalopod Fishing:

Eging, a very sympathetic type of fishing that can be practiced all year round in the Bay of Morlaix!

This technique, originating directly from Japan, consists of catching squid, cuttlefish, and octopus with special lures called "turluttes."

These lures resemble hard baits but are equipped with barbed baskets that allow for beautiful catches, both during the day and at night, to enjoy delicious self-caught calamari! In winter, I prefer to fish for squid, which are very numerous, and in spring, I tend to fish for cuttlefish.

I love to practice this fishing at a fixed spot, in connection with surf fishing, to increase the variety of species caught. This allows for regular bites, with the identity of the catch often remaining a surprise until it reaches the surface. This way, bass, sea bream, conger eel, sea bass, rays, sea trout, pollack, whiting, cod... can be caught. The list is long!

A very enjoyable fishing activity that can be practiced with friends or family!"
