Shore and estuary fishing for Seabass
If there's one fish to go after in Brittany, it's our beloved seabass!
Feisty, playful, but also very technical, this magnificent fish can be caught in countless ways. While many chase it from boats, I believe shore fishing is the most athletic and technically demanding. It's entirely possible to make very nice catches and catch very large bass from the shore!
My favorite fishing methods are naturally sight fishing and topwater fishing. Both allow us to see the fish take our bait, to our greatest pleasure! One is more practiced along the coast, the other in the estuary.
Two sporty approaches full of sensations !
A bass among the algae, succumbing to a perfectly presented soft plastic lure! The sizes of the fish we encounter while sight fishing in the estuary can range from just legal bass to "lunkers" over 70, even 80 cm! Imagine catching such a specimen in less than 50 centimeters of water with a fly rod or a light tackle... A true delight, but not for the faint-hearted!
These big fish have their habits, which I know for you, to bring you to the right place at the right time on each outing.
I will introduce you to the locations, approaches, behavior of seabass, and the best methods for catching them!
Je vous invite également à découvrir cette traque à la mouche, approche des plus efficaces sur ces poissons méfiants et dont la sportivité n'a d'égal que l'élégance et la violence des combats !
