Pike fishing
The king of freshwater fish is undoubtedly the pike!
Fast, combative, the pike has everything one could wish for. A fish I've been pursuing since I was 10 years old!
Today, it's the quest for the largest specimens that brings me back in spring and autumn.
So, it's the famous "meter-long pikes" that attract me so much, the dream of many anglers. How many spend their entire angler's life without the chance to bring one into their landing net?

I chase these fish in various waters and rivers in Finistère and Côtes d'Armor, both with lures and with the fly.
This latter approach, beyond its playful aspect, often allows for different presentations that are even more effective than lures. The fights are then intensified, and that is also very effective with large pikes!
Finally, I mostly use rods and reels of the "baitcasting" type. These sets are often better suited for fishing with large lures and allow for less fatigue, both in the arms and back, thanks to the grip handle of the rod. Many anglers are afraid to use such equipment, but I assure you that I am here, of course, to give you the necessary advice to easily learn baitcasting casting!
