Your Fishing Guide :

Passionate angler and lover of aquatic habitats since my earliest childhood, I wanted to turn my passion into a profession.

I am among those who believe that the more anglers respect the waters and fish, the better our rivers and coasts will be.

Educating anglers in the right practices, showing them the habitats and their fragility, as well as demonstrating the work of organizations for restoration and protection, is as important to me as providing technical advice or catching fish. We are the main actors in the management of our aquatic habitats, and part of my work is to explain this.

Occasionally, I also participate in fishing competitions and naturally consider fishing as a full-fledged sport. Therefore, this includes both respect for the fish and for the places or other anglers, as well as the use of sporting fishing methods (active fishing, non-invasive methods, and effective no-kill). In my opinion, this sportsmanship adds much more excitement to our practice and the need to evolve as in any other sport!

Originally from Lille, my first loves were naturally the predatory fish in the Deûle.

The recent arrival of the gobies led to an explosive increase in the populations of pike-perch and perch, both in terms of number and size. Every time I visit today, I am delighted to find that the quality of the predatory fish stocks has only increased since this event!

Every November, I return there and offer you guided tours, at a time when the less active gobies leave time for the pike-perch to attack your bait. During this time, you can also take advantage of the increased activity of large perch, which usually ends in December.

At the age of 18, I decided to set sail and move to Morlaix in Brittany. It was love at first sight!

There, I was able to obtain my degree in management and protection of nature, to train in environmental management (especially of course waters), and above all to further my education in nature guiding, which is considered the best means to prepare for this type of profession. The logical consequence was then to obtain my BPJEPS sports instructor qualification with a focus on "recreational fishing" at the Pole d'Expertise et d'Excellence des Métiers de la Pêche Sportive in Caulnes, in order to offer you my skills in conveying my passion.

Since then, I have become familiar with both freshwater and saltwater sectors, being on the water every time the opportunity arises. I have thus discovered a true passion for hunting for large seabass in plain sight and the sensations associated with it.

The density of these fish is sometimes very impressive, and it is a true pleasure to chase them often in just a few centimeters of water!

As a trout angler since my earliest childhood, I was delighted by the phenomenal densities of pure wild trout in our rivers. They are not huge and rarely exceed 45 cm, but their number and liveliness quickly satisfied me, especially when I targeted them with the fly, ultralight, or nymph.

Finally, I was able to fulfill my childhood dream here: to fish for salmon. Whether casting or fly fishing, this fish that haunted my nights is no longer a myth to me, but a beautiful reality. Are you interested in enjoying that too?

Acknowledgments:

In this project of becoming a fishing guide, I have always been lucky to be supported and encouraged.

So, I thank: -

Mr. Laurent Mateos, fishing guide on the Dordogne Lotoise, who taught me fly fishing as a child and simply gave me the desire to take up this profession. An idea that never disappeared until I implemented it! His website: https://pescofish.com/

-Mr. Sébastien Van Acker, who pushed me to progress and search for specialty fish since my earliest childhood. This allowed me to compete against adult anglers at my first competitions at the age of 13-14 without looking ridiculous! Thank you, my friend, I probably wouldn't be here without you.

-Messrs. Thomas Garin and Mickaël le Poursot as well as my entire BPJEPS class. We had a fantastic year where we laughed, fished, learned, made progress, and worked on our projects together like never before. Thank you all for these moments, it's the first time in my life that I miss a classroom !!!

-And of course, my dear partner and family, who have always supported my passionate dedication to this hobby and supported me in this project. None of this would have been possible without your support!"
